412 East Elm St, Structure Fire

02/17/2019 2100: Tamaqua Fire, Tamaqua Rescue, EMS, dispatched to 412 East Elm St for reported structure fire.

AHCO responding with E6510, update from county, house filling with smoke, occupants evacuating. 37-90 on scene, reporting fire in the basement, working fire. Station 2, 3 and 4 responding, along with L6520. Second alarm transmitted for working fire.

E6510 took address with E6512 coming in from hydrant, east of the structure. 5″ from E6512 to E6510, E6510 with 3 lines off, C65 in command. Heavy smoke upon entry, crews entered basement encountering fire running the ceiling, quickly knocked down. E6513 and E6514 on scene with manpower to fire scene, L6520 on scene. Crews entered adjoining structures to check for extension and also opening up 412 checking for extension and clearing home of smoke.

Carbon on scene for RIT, Station 25 to Tamaqua for move up assignment, at station 2. 

Crews on scene for about an hour to assure no active fire and home cleared. Units being sent back shortly after 2200.
