115 Coal St. House Fire

0450: Tamaqua Fire to respond to 115 Coal St for a reported house fire. PD arrived on scene shortly after dispatch, reported heavy smoke showing.

E776 responded with a crew, update from county, C773 on scene and reporting working structure fire. E775 went responding and followed by L770.  South Ward E-784 took position on A side and went to work with hand lines making initial hit, heavy smoke coming from cellar access between address’s 115-117. Citizen’s E-784 and AHCO E776 arrived on scene near the address on A side and went to work with hand lines. E775 took position near the rear and provided man power to the roof for ventilation as well as lines to the rear of the structure. L770 took position in parking lot across from address on A side and provided manpower and equipment.  L770 stick thrown to provide lighting to the roof.

Crews operated in 115, 117, 119, 121 address’s. Carbon county RIT on scene, request for Pottsville RIT so Carbon can provide manpower. Hometown Fire placed on stand-bye at Citizen’s Fire company and also Nesquehoning to respond for stand-bye in the borough with an engine and ladder. Ryan rehab unit on scene as well.

Pottsville RIT released and Coaldale able to break down around 0630. E775 and L770 released around 0715. Other companies released after, with E-784 remaining on scene.
