The Tamaqua Fire Department has had a busy first week of June with multiple calls in the borough and out of town. At 2234 on June 7th, the AHCO andEast End Fire Company were dispatched to the rear of 606 East Elm St for an unknown type fire. Tamaqua PD on scene shortly after and confirmed a pop up camper on fire. E6510 arrived shortly after with Captain 65-01 in command, fully involved trailer. EE S6563 arrived with crew for manpower.
Bulk of fire knocked down quickly, crews pulled apart camper to fully extinguish the fire. Units cleared shortly after.
