01/24, 1101: Tamaqua for ladder 770 and East End, along with Schuylkill Township, respond to 140 Walnut St. Tuscarora, for Commercial Fire. Shortly after, call upgraded to working commercial fire with with other companies added to the call.
AHCO responded with L770 setting up on B side of structure, with heavy flames through the roof and B side of building windows. Tuscarora command requesting from county any available foam to the scene. All work moved to defensive mode, tanker task force dispatched. Crews also focusing on exposures. Additional requests for foam. 2 units requested for air monitoring due to nature of contents of building. Second tanker task force dispatched as more master streams put into operation.
About 1500, fire placed under control. L770 was released at about 1530.
