2032: Tamaqua Fire, Rescue and EMS respond to 443 Pine Street for building fire.
AHCO crew already at station for Annual Comedy Night. Update from county, Murphy’s Beer distributer, rear of building on fire. E776 responded with full crew followed by L770. E775 responded shortly after. Other companies responding.
E776 took command and set up on Route 309, A/B corner, visible fire on first floor, moved call to working fire, request second alarm and RIT. L770 took position on A side and threw stick to the roof. E775 took side street and came in on Vine St. Hydrant at Vine and Pine hit, E778 hit hydrant at Pine and Elm. 2 lines in use off E776. Citz and South ward took positions on Pine street above and below scene as well as on Vine. Hometown dispatched for stand by in Citz station.
Fire quickly knocked down, overhaul in process. Under control in 30 minutes. L770 sent back to station with AHCO crew to return to Comedy Night…. Other units remained on scene for about an hour.
Fire crews much appreciated that the hydrant at the scene was cleared out!!!
